Basically what's been put into the announcement, which summarizes as: someone was bored, wanted to see how far they could get with their "hack", and caused us lots of headaches for the last 2 weeks of 2014 and now going into 2015...
LukeWCS wrote:If you have some testable, i repeat my offer as betatester. ;) Simply write me a PM.
Thanks for the offer. Very soon hopefully. The biggest focus would be to see how well it all works cross-browser.

i sent you PR for Arabic Translation
Yes I saw but won't be merging that until the end in case I end up changing language text or adding/removing variables. If that happens I'll comment on the open pr(s). Thanks!

Glad to see you're working on this!

I am on a VPS with 60 GB plan with attachments that were approaching almost 8 gigs worth.
After resizing all of them manually (pain) I got that down to less than 3 gigs so yeah, this extension is most appreciated if it will resize the image upon upload to save server space. I didn't see that in your description in post 1 though.

Because, as I've previously stated, that will not be a feature of the current version (3.0). That is for the next version (3.1), which is probably quite some time away still.

Yes! I cant wait for this. Been using this for ages on 3.0.x and a lit of things, like this mod (or something like it), are preventing me from making the move to 3.1.x

Looking forward to this and again, thank you. :)

Not a whole lot, unfortunately. But I've just finished setting up my environment on my laptop to continue working on it (was only set up on my virtual machine). Was hoping to have more time today because of the blizzard but it appears I'll have to go to work anyways in a couple of hours, which will be cut short further after a request to go play in the snow.

Playing in the snow should always trump work as far as I'm concerned :)

Hi,

will this EXT work for ported images allready resized by this 3.0.x mod?
Unfortunately all images attached using the mod will show up ugly after upgrading to 3.1.x.

Thx in advance, HaNNF

Of course. It's the same contribution. Also in 3.1 images are automatically shrunk based on the browser size so not sure what it is you mean since the MOD did not modify how the information gets stored. It was always something it did on the client side.

Hi,

thank you very much for the quick reply.

I already tried to create a quick'n'dirty tiny script to fix the partial displaying of these images.
Since the sripts in the mod are shrunken to one-liners, I gave up

Cheers, HaNNF

The ReIMG MOD didn't change how inline images or attachments get stored in the database whatsoever. All resizing was done on the browser (client) upon displaying of images via JavaScript. Whatever you're experiencing has nothing to do with the MOD.
