Just an idea, but maybe this could be extended to a 'Seasonal extension'? [Phpbb Seasons] Perhaps with an ACP choice for Xmas, Halloween, Easter etc? Just a thought, would be awesome. :)

Edit: Weird. I only just had a look at this on IE11, never noticed the larger screen snow falling on Google chrome?

Ah cool. :) aI have some suggestions/requests which I will post on in the topic I've just seen.

Back to this topic, the ext is looking and working great Stoker, although some may want the main snow effect to show on Chrome too. (Doesn't seem to for me).

I would upload them here but attachments arnt allowed and im not linking them.

How did you put the words Blades-Place as a pop up? That's pretty neat.
What popup ? screen shot maybe ?
This.

Thanks. I tried to instal it and I got a sql error while loading the forum. I had to delete and reupload the entire directory. I used the extension upload extensions and I have been using it error free. Once my directory reuploads I'll manually install it and see if I still get the sql error.

I just noticed that in Internet Explorer 8 the theme doesn't show up only snow and some of the snow is little blocks. Pale Moon and Firefox works though.

Ill have to investigate why it doesnt work in IE 8
However the round corners is only supported in modern browsers, IE 8 is not a modern browser and doesnt have that function. It doesnt show the round corners here either.

EDIT: Found several css bugs which is fixed.
Download updated.

Suggested fix for IE8 and below posted at same topic.

Stoker, thank you - brilliant extension.

I do have one small bug for you though....

Highlighting the forums works fine, but if you go into a forum, when you hover over a topic it turns them blue with the snow which means you can't read the title....

Thanks

Nick

Chrome shows the rows as blue on yours.

Index page rows are fine it's when your in the forum.

Edit this one shows blue http://www.phpbb3bbcodes.com/viewforum.php?f=57

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_CODE_UNTIDY and S_MESS_ON_INDEX Good If_Not_TIDY_Then_SUBMIT -->

The fix is to open xmas.css and find:

Code: Select all

/* style the posting box */
li.row:hover {
	background-image: url("./images/christmas_row.png") no-repeat center right;
}
Replace with:

Code: Select all

/* style the row on hover */
li.row:hover {
	background-image: url("./images/christmas_row.png");
	background-repeat:  no-repeat;
	background-position: center right;
}

The rows also show blue in FF 33.1.1

That change above removes the blue.
