There was a problem with mChat for 3.1.12. One of the user settings didn't work right

What is taking so long for a RC version of this to be posted for download. The topic was started ages ago and not like your creating a new mod, but converting it. You've had a working demo of it installed on your 3.1 forum for about 4 weeks, so whats the delay?

That's the way 3.1.x is designed. MODs edit source code on core files and Extensions don't. The entire system is designed for this difference.

He may not be using the actual extension on his board guys. Regardless I saw him mention in his chat the other day that real life was leaving him very little time to do much. That is probably why there hasn't been any progress.

well thankfully Ajax shoutbox looks a lot more solid - the demo can be viewed, I just did, it looks brilliant

24 days ago is "ages"? Patience is a virtue ;).

The reason it is probably taking a while is due to some functions, etc have to be completely re-written as extensions can not modify files or even have files included in other directories (like the hooks directory for example).

A chat will come but Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will a port of the original mod.

While I do share everyone else's eagerness to use this extension, I really don't think using the thread to harass (for lack of a better word) the authors will make it be ready quicker. I'm looking forward to it, you're looking forward to it, that's fine, but we need to be patient.

Um... You mean, no download for mChat? That would be correct. However, if you want to experiment with it, you can download Paul's ShoutBox from github: https://github.com/paul999/ajax-shoutbox-ext

He updated some stuff with the ajax shoutbox last night, you can see the changes listed on github. The delete button is now shown with shouts but code for it to work deleting them is not implemented yet.
