Hit Ctrl+Shift+K to open the console and then try to send a message. Is there any error logged?

That helped, it will be fixed in RC2. Until then, moving your board from quickinstall/boards/mchat to a folder other than mchat will fix the problem, for example quickinstall/boards/chat.

Delete the file /ext/dmzx/mchat/styles/prosilver/template/event/overall_header_navigation_append.html

Decrease the width? mChat fills the style's container width. Either you modify your style or you tinker with #mchat-body in mChat's stylesheet in /ext/dmzx/mchat/styles/prosilver/theme/mchat.css.

Yes this is because the language file is changed.
It has to be translate by translators ;)

Correct. common.php for all user-facing language, info_acp_mchat.php for ACP language.

You should only use the info_acp.... file for language variables that need to be auto loaded, such as module names and log entries. All other ACP language should be loaded as and when needed in the ACP otherwise if you load it in the info file it is loaded in the ACP all the time.
