Will this Extension have an integrated collapse? Because nobody wants to see the chat at most of the times, when reading the forum.

The original mChat (for phpBB 3.0) was only visible on forum Index or on dedicated mChat page. So no need to collapse.

When is an extension considered abandoned? I didn't see the criteria defined in the "Abandoned Extensions" Forum, other than to say "Extensions in this forum are not currently being supported or maintained by the original Extension author".

I didn't say that it was - although, there has been no comment from the original poster about progress for almost two months now.

I was just asking the question: What constitutes abandonment - and, does this extension meet that criteria.

Hopefully not - Would like to see this progress.. its by far one of the best for 3.0.12 and rich was a great support in getting it working correctly.

Looking forward to this one, I did pm the developer with no response (although PM was read). Hoping it will come back to life soon.

I would like to use this instead of security ridden Ajax. But it looks like the OP has dropped off the planet!

I spoke to the developer over on his own website, he's having some personal issues at the moment but confirmed the project isn't abandoned.

Give him some grace, good things to come to those who wait.
