More updates came to place me really really close to release this to general public..
Special thanks to Nikola who was super helpful and available to withstand my needs to find everything wrong with this extension and make this extension into a bugless reality.
Just stay tuned.... With slight luck, I can finish this today.
I can confirm that this extension is working properly now. I had many users to test it.
- It doesnt hang when you click on profile / View user posts
- SQL usage upon searching is now normal
- Now it shows posts of users under users correctly
This is probably my handpick number one extension for larger communities. Bruno knows what kind of community I am talking about. I will be suggesting this to be a built in feature for future phpbb release, I suggest you do the same. It is simply essential to begin with for larger communities. Works on smaller ones though. A must have feature.
Small note: If you are using User recent activity extension, you might want to ask there for support because it is showing posts that are meant to be private by this extension. Bruno can also note about that in his main post. Thanks a lot, great extension, great support and great creator.

UPDATE:
My submission to the extensions DB was denied.
There were some valid points for the denial which would be enough to get it denied but
there were also some, IMO wrongfully, denied elements related to, what I believe to be important QOL and UX choices.
I'm now waiting to hear back from them on my partial refute.
Update:
I got an answer but more discussion is required. As usual, they are open for discussion.
I have this installed on PHPBB 3.1.10, requirements for PHP/etc are met. This work properly but I see two issues>
A. The new posts icon highlights even if you can't see new posts.
B. This completely makes the search feature not work if you aren't an admin. When trying to search you get blank results as a regular user. Anyone who has full access to read the all forum posts does not have this issue though.

Search breaks for me, too. I'm able to search as an Administrator, but it's broken for regular users. I had to disable this extension in order to fix it.
Don't know if this will help or not but try going to your ACP / forums tab / then click the green cog for the forum that you set for the extension (edit). On that page look for this: Enable search indexing: and make sure it is set to no. You don't want the info on that forum "searchable," and it may be why the search isn't working correctly. Just a guess.
I believe that Valleriani is right. Changing the search engine from the default one so it works is not a legitimate way of considering an extension is working correctly.
Anyhow, Valleriani, are you sure you checked the latest build. I had this issue with another forum but it seemed solved on it.
Additionally, which search system backend are you using?
I'm getting no answer from the extension validators about my refusal, after those two messages I had already received.
I will resubmit my extension, at least, to try to get their attention.
It is waiting for me to have any available time to work on it again.
Unfortunately, I've been either busy or exhausted to work on it.
