Electrix wrote:Hi, thanks for this great extension. I was wondering, if it would be possible to integrate this collapsing feature with the Recent Topics extension (or any other category-adding extension)? To make it clear: the "-" button is only displayed on regular categories, not on recent topics category. Is it possible to upgrade the extension to make it work, or I need to hardcode it somehow? Thanks.
That would be up to that extensions author. They would need to redo some of their extension since it's not built around the necessary structure to be compatible with collapsible categories.

Works a treat ty the css needed a tweak the keep the collapse css/icon in the center of the bar when open or closed other than that all good.

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_CODE_UNTIDY and S_MESS_ON_INDEX Good If_Not_TIDY_Then_SUBMIT -->

would be nice if the "all" style was not used for the case of subsilver2 not working with this. i know subsilver2 is not a supported style, but the extension in my opinion should not load itself when it is not meant to work with all styles. it loads the css and js when it should not

Use of the "all" folder is intended since the files loaded are not prosilver specific. They are intended for use with any style. It's possible Subsilver2-based styles would still be able to work with this extension, even though it's not intended for use with subsilver2 itself.

if the files are not prosilver specific, then why do they use prosilver colours in the css? shouldn't there be a prosilver style for setting those colours? that would leave the all style generic for other styles to use and it would also just load the globally required files like the js.

We use prosilver colors because extensions must work work with prosilver by default. The prosilver "scheme" is our default scheme and we will add additional style schemes as needed. We also don't want to immediately break with styles that don't inherit from Prosilver.

The CSS and JS must be loaded for ALL styles, because they search for specific classes in the style which, if found, implement the collapse boxes. If they are not found, the extension does not affect the style.

Loading these two tiny files is not a concern.

Is there any way to customize the picture of the [+] [-] on we_universal?

Also on the we_universal the + and - are on the bottom right of the bot, is there a way to center it more on the right (lift it up a half an inch)? So that it is aligned with the text saying LAST POST

We have a we_universal style in place already.

And it looks fine to us:

I just deleted my old version and uploaded 1.0.0-a2. But, when i am trying to enable it i am getting:
The selected extension cannot be enabled, please verify the extension’s requirements.

Even though, my phpbb version is 3.1.5 and php is 5.5.26. What is going on?

I changed the css for an old image see here http://www.martins-place.dyndns.info/ note if you hover the button grows but that not in the css for collapse also the button stays in the center of the bar when open or closed so it looks even all the time.

Version 1.0.0-RC1 is the newest. And make sure your database has been updated as well.

It has been updated successfuly VSE. I got the version from the acp. Its been updated months ago.
In the Customise tab, 1.0.0-a2 appears green, as the latest version. But i guess thats because they are different branches...? RC1 Seems to work fine. But the a2 doesnt on 3.1.5. I think the update link for 1.0.0-a1 pointed me to a2.

I pointed someone a while ago to get the RC (http://phpbb.ro/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=24603#p159779)
Dont think i would have made the mistake to choose it wrong. So i think irc that i got instructed to try a2.
Buut i guess a2 is more stable than RC1 so thats why you point to it. Yeah. Sorry. i am being weird today. LOL

No. Use 1.0.0-RC1. The version checker has not been updated yet.
