Thanks for your feedback :)

New version 0.3.1:
  • Fix anniversary and birthday rules when not logged in
  • Added tracking when a user has visited a forum (a rule about it will be created soon). The tracking is disabled by default (enable it in Settings)
  • Use phpBB cache to store notices (and don't load them from the database each time)
I won't be around for a week

No, no more than one at a time. I suppose it's technically possible, but not something I had in mind. I could see to include it later. I want to finish the configuration first tough.
Hi, i need info if you have included more announce in a page 8-)

Hi!

It's still under development. I haven't had much time to work on it recently. But I still plan to allow multiple announcements.

That is technically not possible. There's no caching at this stage.

Could you be mixing up "Board Notices" extension with the "Board Announcements" extension?

Re: [3.2][BETA] Board Notices Manager

Post by FredQ »

Hi!

Thanks for reopening the topic.

I've been using this extension on my board since the first day without any issue. Now I finally got some time to convert my board to phpBB 3.2 (I had some other extensions not compatible with phpBB 3.2 which is why I was holding back).

The plan is to send a first version of the extension to the official database with one limitation: it can only display one notice. I'm not sure if I will include the possibility to dismiss it or not (yet).

version 0.4.0:
  • Compatibility with phpBB 3.2 (tests rewritten to work in phpBB 3.2 branch)
version 0.4.1:
  • Allow to specify a CSS class per notice if needed (gives more control than just a background colour)
  • [Internal] Use JSON serialiser instead of the PHP serialiser for security reasons
version 0.4.2:
  • Unselected rules are now greyed-out so it's easy to see if you forgot to click on the checkbox to use it
Your feedback is welcome (but please hold back for multi-notices - that will come in version 2).
