as for making an extension, I do not know how. for someone that knows how to make extensions, this should be a relatively easy one to make

it's Great but is not mobile responsive, if you see your site from a mobile phone the large of the menu doesn't shrink

Yep! That's why it says in the header:

This forum is best viewed at a screen resolution of at least 1280 pixels wide

Most folks that visit my forum have their res set to at least that, but yes, you're right, it isn't dynamic.

Would be cool if it reduces (partly or completely) to a hamburger-menu when the screen size gets too small.
