anyone that uses this along with my chat extension will need to add an event file for it to work in chat ;)

unzip and add this spaceace_ajax_chat_buttons_after.zip

to this folder

ext/sniper/smiliesigns/styles/all/template/event

purge the cache and enjoy :D

Thank you spaceace!

I could not get the signs in Ajax Chat at first so I meant to get back to that later.
Sorry for not following up on that already. I'm looking into it now.

I had to edit 4 event/templates in smiliesigns to get Chat into the mix.
Your spaceace_ajax_chat_buttons_after event works well putting the signs in Chat.

But it places it below your buttons and above the BBCode buttons.
That is a good place for my Table Guidelines but not for the smilie signs.
Smilie signs are placed where the smilies are but I can not find an event there.

Your styles/all/template/chat_body_buttons.html - Look for the event I added at the bottom...

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_BBCODE_ALLOWED -->
	<div id="chat_bbcodes" style="display: none;">
		<!-- INCLUDE posting_buttons.html -->
	</div>
<!-- ENDIF -->
<div id="chat_smilies" style="display: none;">
	<!-- IF S_SMILIES_ALLOWED -->
		<!-- BEGIN smiley -->
			<a href="#" onclick="insert_text('{smiley.A_SMILEY_CODE}', true); return false;"><img src="{smiley.SMILEY_IMG}" width="{smiley.SMILEY_WIDTH}" height="{smiley.SMILEY_HEIGHT}" alt="{smiley.SMILEY_CODE}" title="{smiley.SMILEY_DESC}" style="margin: 4px 2px 0" /></a>
		<!-- END smiley -->
		<!-- IF S_SHOW_SMILEY_LINK and S_SMILIES_ALLOWED -->
			<br /><a href="{U_MORE_SMILIES}" onclick="popup('{BOARD_URL}posting.php?mode=smilies', 400, 350, '_phpbbsmilies'); return false;">{{ lang('MORE_SMILIES') }}</a>
		<!-- ENDIF -->
	<!-- ENDIF -->
</div>
<!-- EVENT spaceace_ajax_chat_smiley_after -->
This would be a perfect spot for the sign smilies. May I request an event added?
Or tell me where the event is located that will place the sign smilies by the smilies.

For now I added the additional codes for the Chat in my templates with your event.
Check Github - Added Signs in Ajax Chat to see updated files with Ajax Chat added.

Edit: I guess the switches have to be put in a specific order. They were not working correctly.
But I have it all worked out. Github - Adjusted switch order in templates.

First Post Updated: Smilie Signs 1.0.10

Added Ajax Chat into the mix. Works with both mChat and Ajax Chat now.

Yep it seems the BBCodes inside PHPBB will not work with the new system. But activation is working fine so far.

That's odd. I just looked at mine on 3.2.0 and prosilver and it's working fine. I am using version 1.0.11 of the ext.

Yes the agree language needs to be changed to agrees. They had the agree language in registration.

smiliesigns/language/en/common.css

Code: Select all

'AGREES_TITLE' => 'Agree'

Lower down

'AGREES' => '[sign=agrees]text[/sign]
styles/all/template/smiliessigns_posting_editor_button.html

Code: Select all

line 16
[sign=agrees] (to the right) [L_AGREES_TITLE]

Lowe down line 143
[L_AGREES] (to the right) [L_AGREES_TITLE]
.com has a few changes they pointed out I will have to fix also..
