I'm missing something? :?: I am marked as founder and I do not see the glossary edition page link. I did make sure permissions are set but I can only see test glossary items. Not edit option....

Nevermind. Found it.

Hello Pierredu,

When I activate the extension locally with Wamp, I get the following error:
Fatal error: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported in C:\Wamp.NET\sites\encreuse.local\forum\ext\lmdi\gloss\event\listener.php on line 282

Hi,

Which version of PHP do you use ? I guess it is 8.
It is not yet validated.
Switching to PHP 8 is a huge step.

In file event/listener.php, line 282, replace $part{0} with $part[0] (twice).
The version 3.0.17 on github should work.

You have to make this modification on the version 3.0.17 file, otherwise it doesn't work.
But with the modification, it seems to works.

Edit:
when I click on the glossary link I come across a page with only the "T", whether in php 8.0.2 or php 7.4.15 ...

It is because the only terms in the glossary table begin with a T. Add some more terms...

I didn't know this kind of error. When seeing this topic on StackOverflow, it seems that this is something that missed in former versions of MySQL but was added in version 5.7.x.
Which version of MySQL are you running?

I'm going to try to understand the problem and see how to circumvent the issue.

Thanks for pointing this issue.

It's 8.0.23 on wamp and 10.3.25 on the production forum.

Version 3.0.18 seems to work, but only if you make this change again in listener.php, line 282:

Hello Pierre, thank you very much for this Ext!
I have a question about the logic

I am missing the content of the first field from the edit-page on the glossary-overview
In this case, I am missing "ADCC".
ADCC ist the word the glossary-script is reacting to, but when looking at the glossary-overview, the term ADCC is missing, only the explanation is shown.

I hope you understand what I mean!

EDIT: in my opinion the fields should be switched.
GLOSS_DESC is the text shown when the mouse is hoovering, this should only be a short description (?) = small field
GLOSS_TERM is the text in the popup, this text can be more extensive (and the popup can also contain a link and image) = larger field for more text
The field size is the other way around at the moment.

EDIT2:

Code: Select all

	'GLOSS_ED_ILINKS'	=> 'Internal links',
Are "internal links" links to other glossary-terms?
