There isn't a native function for that?

Not to copy it automatically.

This extension will copy a post made in a specific forum to another forum once submit is hit.

And of course, this point is important...

I will be alert for translation when this is complete, or whenever you feel.

Thanks David.

Downloaded and tested on a new board:

I get the following phpBB Notice when setting the "copy new topic" settings in the ACP:

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file [ROOT]/ext/david63/copynewtopic/controller/admin_controller.php on line 127: Undefined variable: from_forum
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file [ROOT]/ext/david63/copynewtopic/controller/admin_controller.php on line 128: Undefined variable: to_forum
Also the settings in the ACP aren't saving, keep going back to default.
Topics aren't being copied.

Is there forum permissions i need to set or is the only thing to set in the extensions tab?

Thanks

Updated to v1.1.0-b2

Disable/Upload new files/Enable

You now have to enable this in the ACP > Extensions

Bug fixes and improved error checking.

Should be fixed (I hope!)

That would be because of the above error

Does the overall/board postcount increase?

Don't know  - I will have to check

The question then is - should it or should it not?

I guess it should work according to the built-in topic copy.

I dont think it should!
Hm, this could be used to boost the postcount in order to make the site more attractive for advertisers.
The Ext could copy all new topics to a hidden forum.

A nice ACP feature to toggle this would be nice!
