Re: [3.1][3.2][RC] Autolinks 1.1.0

Hi,

Thanks a lot for this extension.

I have installed it on a phpbb forum, version 3.2.2.
It is working.

But I have a small problem : when a expression to replace has a dot character (like google.com), extension replaces expression with a \ before dot (so google\.com).

How to delete this "\" ?

Thanks for this extension. It has worked well except for one minor issue.

If query does not contain forum id (f-parameter), autolinks does not work.

The solution:

Replace ext\lmdi\autolinks\event\listener.php:110

Code: Select all

$forum_id = $this->request->variable ('f', 0);
by

Code: Select all

$forum_id = $this->user->page['forum'];

It magically solved my problems which I reported previously to the author :-) I do not have these numbers so extension did not work previously :)

But I had to change the code manually from 1.2.4 zip, from this->user->page ('forum') to this->user->page['forum']

Now when the extension works perfectly, I would like to suggest one important feature: tooltip text column.

It should be straightforward: one additional column in database and the admin menu, where you can put the description what is hidden under the link and what will be displayed when you hover over the link.

What do you think about it?

This is a good idea.
I'll try to find some time to implement it.
Thanks.

Which kind of limitation?
A single replacement? Two, three?

You should be more precise. What is the problem with the current state of the extension? Too much links? Links which prevent reading the content of the post? Of the topic?

I understand now.
You want to use this extension to produce links to other forums of your board.
This extension is rather meant to produce external links on technical terms.
It would be rather difficult to modify it.
Have a look in the code, if you want.
