It is still only beta so there is no guarantee that some aspects will work.

You need to enable the feature for each forum where you want it individually, under the Forums tab.

See the screenshot from the first post.

It should be under the Forums tab, click the green gear icon for the forum where you want to enable the feature. If you have the extension enabled, the option should be somewhere in that list.

Note: only do this for forums, it won't have much use in categories.

:o This extension its great, for answer question, there is a possibility to lock topic when the best answer is submitted.
if the user get the best answer there is no reason to maintain the topic open for more answer.
Just select if you want lock the topic or not could be very useful.

If the user wants to lock the topic once the best answer has been given he/she can do it him/herself, permission granted. Is a built-in feature of phpBB actually.

I'm still contemplating how I want to handle topics that have been marked as answered. Do we allow users to change the answer or allow only moderators/administrators the ability to change it? What is everyone's thought?

I think is better an automatic lock when best answer is selected, because that way the users don't have to close them self, what happen if the user forget to close the topic? it will be open until the moderator found it. The user wants the things quickly and they are lazy, only few user will lock the topic that means more work to moderators.

Personally, I wouldn't have it automatically happen. I guess you could add the option of having the topic closed when a best answer is chosen, but not have it happen by default.

If I were to install the extension, I would like topics to remain open after a Best Answer is chosen because someone might have something useful to add to the discussion. Also, I don't like closing topics after they have supposedly been answered anyway. But of course, other admins may very well have other preferences so I would say it would be good to just add it as an option on a per forum basis.

I agree with an open or close selection will be ok for all of us

This is still in development. The reason there has been no update is because I'm on a month long assignment 800 miles away (in WI). Once I get home, I should be able to ramp up development. I have more features planned. :D
