Hello Andreas!

I think it works. After two reminders the usernames are green, but "self delete link" is still only in the second message.

One more question.
Where can I find a list of users who requested deletion of their accounts?
After the user has logged on to delete the account, the date of last visit changes and user disappears from the "Deletion approval list"

Ah of course! That makes sense since the random number is generated after the second e-mail (first e-mail in your case).
So it cannot be really sent before that. It will have to be generated prior the e-mail notification, but this would require more changes.

The users who have requested to be deleted should be in the Ignore/Delete approval list.
Aren't they?
The Request Type should be "user".

Ah! what you mentioned tormented me for quite a while!
I tried it my self and I found a bug. (oh my god!)
Users who are requesting for deletion are not updated properly in the db.
That is why they are missing from that list.

So I will try to update the links with a new version asap.
And again I'll have to request to cancel the validation for the current version! :roll:
Good that you noticed it!

And one more thing.

I have started to translate your extension into Russian. I'll add the translation files in the coming days.

Please check the following variables:

Code: Select all

'ACP_IUM_SETTINGS'        =>
'ACP_IUM_MAIL_SETTINGS'   =>
'REQUEST_DATE'            =>
It seems to me they are missing.

And one line with a typo:

Code: Select all

'ANDREASK_IUM_IGNORE_GROUP_LIST_EXPLAIN'	=>	'Here you can select which group(s) should be ignored by the extension. Please note that even though they <u>are not</u> selected here,</br>BOTS, ADMINISTRATORS, MODERATOROS and GUESTS are <b>ignored</b>. But it is still suggested to select the groups here as well!',

The MODERATOROS is fixed,

But what do you mean by missing?
I can find them all in in ium/language/en/inactive_user_list.php

Code: Select all

	'ACP_IUM_SETTINGS'	=>	'Inactive User Reminder Settings',
	'ACP_IUM_MAIL_SETTINGS'	=>	'Reminder Settings',
	'REQUEST_DATE'		=>	'Deletion Request date',

Can this extension be configured to send only to users with zero posts?

Yes it can be done but you'll have to edit the query.
Where ?

Is it in controller > main.php, line 110 ?
$sql = 'SELECT user_id, ium_random FROM ' . USERS_TABLE . ' WHERE ' . $this->db->sql_build_array('SELECT', $sql_arr);

Thank's

Hi Andreas,

I have version 1.0.0 running fine on my board (phpBB 3.2.5) with 600+ users for well over a year.

Question

When I attempted an update to version 1.1.5 the ACP page for the extension failed (404 error). Can you confirm please whether the database structure in version 1.1.5 is different from version 1.0.0. I notice that the name of the extension in the extensions list has changed from Inactive User Manager to PHPBB Inactive User Manager/Reminder, is this likely to result in a upgrade issue ?

As my IUM install takes a whole year to run it's course of reminder e-mails, I cannot afford to simply 'start over'.

I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best and stay safe

Colin
