This is fixed now.
PowerIdeas wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2018 1:23 pm Wouldn´t be even better to have more templates and each time send one different?

For example, if someone is missing 30 days, i would not even mention, that he is missing, and instead send him hand-picked list of few best topics on forum. (He doesn´t care about traffic of the board, he cares about value that the board can provide to him.) It is smoother.
It would be better but it wouldn't be automated then... (the way you describe it).
You can still do this by simply handpicking a user and sending him an e-mail...
No need for an extension :)

Of course I could make this happen (multi template) but not right now.
It will need work and testing...
PowerIdeas wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2018 1:23 pm Or something else, just trying different things... Because if this mail didn´t work for the first time, what´s the chance that it will work for second time?
The thing is that if the e-mail doesn't work, no e-mail will work anyway...

I want to automatize it. My board has quite a lot of users that registered and than became inactive. That´s why this extension comes so handy.

Some mails can work and some not, I still think it´s better to try different aproaches than sending same mail 3x (which can work too, but not that well.)

The thing i´m doing now is manually sending mail with best topics to all users like once a month. Or i´m doing little contest (10 post for month = bonus content). But with growing business you want to automatize. I want to set it up, polish few times, and than let it take care of sleepers forever :) This is I think exactly what your target group wants.

perhaps in future updates, ill consider it.
It is hard to implement things like 'best topics', how would you specify in ways of data the 'best topics'?
While 'most active' is easy to find, 'best topics' need more info to distinguish.

Re: [3.1][3.2][RC] PhpBB IUM (Inactive User Manager/reminder)

Post by andreask »

Hello,

I would like to say that the RC is here (finally).

Some fixes from previous version and some additions.

The new addition (and the last for quite some time) are...

Option to unignore user from the user approval list. colored ignored users on the user list.
But this will not work for the already ignored users. Only for the future ones.

Explanations...
On the inactive users list, users will have different colors depending on how they are being (not) ignored.
On the deletion approval list, there is a new column "Ignore type" where you can see of what type of ignore they have.
types are (auto, admin)...
On the ignore user list you can see ONLY the users that are ignored by the admin.

I hope it's clear.

I will let the RC run for a week and then I will submit it for CDB

Any support is welcome!

After some time of using, what is the best way of analyzing, how well IUM is working and how many users was reactivated?

Hi,

Well what I do is to go to the "Inactive User List" and short the list by "Reminders Count".

This way the list will show you the users that have no reminders.
But!
You will notice that the "Previous Reminder" should be populated with date if not then go lower or to the next page(s).
That means that the user got a reminder and decided to come back...
IUM will see that the user logged in and will reset the counter but not the dates of the last and previous reminders...
There is also the date that the user was logged in for the last time.

I hope that this helps somehow...

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have the latest version installed now and still something doesn't work yet..

In the remove approval list, if i click on the inactive user i get a page not found message.
Is something wrong on my side?

I do not have any problems...
Have you tried purging the cache of the board?
Actually this should be done by all of the people that updated the ext from the older version...
Or else you will not see the extra field in the approval list.

No this is it.
It just takes you to the user overview. From there you can send to the user a reminder if you want to.

I think i found another problem. When trying to add a user to the ignore list.... nothing happens. In the previous versions it worked. The screen refreshes and no name is in the ignore list.
