So there's probably a conflict with another extension, or you have something changed on your board.

Good luck!

I'll need to get on a demo board to see exactly what yours does, but what I mean is that a user could get his own page to submit his own articles rather than users submitting articles to the only one cmbb

Edit: again this is just going off of the screen shots...

I don't really see categories being used. Maybe each user could have a "hidden" cmbb category with their own link?
I've just committed a new version that has a function to search cmBB for articles created by a specific user. E.g.: ./article/search/2
The latest parameter is the user_id.

I've added a counter with a link in both the miniprofile (in viewtopic) and the memberlist view.

You can expand on this by making this link available anywhere on your board/website.

So, basically this extension could turn PhpBB into anything

CMS
Blog
News Site
Shopping Site
etc....

Amazing work 👍👍👍👍👍

Could each topic have its own image that gets displayed in the main page.

What exactly do you mean with "topic"? An article or a category?

Should be possible. I have to think about how to implement this.

Checkout Github: https://github.com/GerB/cmbb
A new version (1.0.1, please run migrations if you already have a cmBB install) includes an option to add a "featured image" to each article. It involves a dropdown list with all the filenames you have in you user's upload dir for cmBB. You can select an image from that list or simply leave the "use avatar" option, that loads the user's avatar as featured image with fallback to a default avatar.

When an image is selected, it's resized to fit into the article listing (max 90 width/height). Of course, you can also simply upload an image that fits your needs and is max 90 width/height and select that one.

Note: Place the files in "ext\ger\cmbb" for it to show in the extension list.

Thanks for getting this feature in ....

Nice..

Got the following warnings

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/ext/ger/cmbb/controller/edit.php on line 125: scandir([ROOT]/images/cmbb_upload/2): failed to open dir: No such file or directory
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/ext/ger/cmbb/controller/edit.php on line 125: scandir(): (errno 2): No such file or directory
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/ext/ger/cmbb/controller/edit.php on line 127: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()
Solved by
1- Creating "cmbb_upload" folder in the ROOT image folder
2- and removing ". $this->user->data['user_id']" From line 124 in edit.php

No I have to figure out how to style it like this

Thank you so much for your amazing work.

Thanks for testing. It's caused because this function assumes the required user dir is in place, which isn't when you write your first article. I've pushed a fix just now.
