@rec0d: I guess my approach to make the ./news route available for you didn't really work unfortunately. Like I said earlier, it isn't meant to work that way so I don't really support it. Please undo the edit to make it work as intended

Hi.

After installing the last version of gitHub, in the ACP, when I click over the option cmBB settings the following error happens:

Have you tried purging the cache?

You can hide or unhide an article. Permanent deleting isn't implemented.

must the link be article/news for it to work?

Indeed. You can always create a simple PHP page with a header redirect to article/news.

I might implement something with custom routing in the future but not for now.

my problem is, im useing this extenstion for pages: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/pages/

but its only allow 127.0.0.1/aritcle or 127.0.0.1/news. NOT 127.0.0.1/article/news

is there anyway i can custom the code for just 127.0.0.1/article? or redirect the article/news to a 127.0.0.1/news page?

I'm not sure I understand what you want to accomplish exactly. What does the pages extension and its routes have to do with the cmBB extension and its routes? And why do you want to create a "pages-extension-page" to route to a "cmBB extension article"?

I get the feeling you want to something very simple in a very complicated way. What is your end goal?

You can create a simple php file in your phpBB root directory (where config.php resides) and call it my_newspage.php. Put this in it:

Code: Select all

<?php
// Redirect to cmBB article
header('Location: article/news');
Now, open up the .htaccess file in the same directory and look for:

Code: Select all

#RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization},L]
After that line, place the following lines:

Code: Select all

# make ./news point to cmBB article/news
RewriteRule ^news$ my_newspage.php [QSA,L]
That should do the trick. You can now point your browser to yoursite.ext/news and it will redirect you to the cmBB category for news.

It might work, but that depends on how you have set things up. It goes beyond the scope of the cmBB extension though.
