Post by Miri4ever » Fri Mar 16, 2018 4:20 pm

Just tested my Version created a new table on PHPBB 3.2.2 and everything is working fine and as it should be. Yes updating to PHPBB 3.2.2 was a pain with lots of error and timeouts and I don't know if it got something to do with this extension. But it still working fine.

Didn't Advanced BBCode Box extension have a table bbcode in his at one time? Do you guys have that installed? Table conflicts.

I know earlier version did have the same bbcodes in this extension. You use to have to manually delete the old bbcodes to update.
But with this new migration file by 3DI, Matt Friedman and VSE I use it should have fixed that problem.

You guys good? Was it some old table bbcode laying around from an older version causing the problem?

Well, I wrote it, it's a puzzle of various chunks of code extracted from the ABBC3 extension by VSE. (which is Matt Friedman BTW) ;)
I am using it for a validated ext. of mine as well, so it's safe to use it, if still is the same code.

The [center] bbcode is centering everything inside the tables.
How can I just center the table, but not all the text inside?
Maybe a stupid question.. but can't figure it out :lol:

Read the exact guide how to make. You need Center command inside the table and left for the text, like inside this example:
[table=30,tcenter]
[thead]
[tr=textleft]
[th=50,null]Title1[/th]
[th=50,null]Title2[/th]
[/tr]
[/thead]
[tbody]
[tr=bg2]
[td=null,1]Text11[/td]
[td=null,1]Text21[/td]
[/tr]
[tr=bg1]
[td=null,1]Text12[/td]
[td=null,1]Text22[/td]
[/tr]
[tr=bg2]
[td=null,1]Text13[/td]
[td=null,1]Text23[/td]
[/tr]
[/tbody]
[/table]
I also didn't use anymore Advanced BBCode Box. Now everything is working with RIN Editor and the last development from the Tables made there by me for this one. But well Sniper I still having this weired negative Button for the Tables instead only at mouseover inside PBWow Style :)

I don't remember if I tested this on PBWow Style and I didn't find any tables on your site as a guest.

What does your memberlist page table look like? It should look exactly like that in your style.
Does the memberlist table have that weird negative button for the table?

Yes exactly this negative effect with an orange border if mouse over. The normal buttons inside RIN Editor go no borer at all if mouse over. I need to read this topic more pages back, somewhere we found something that makes it a little bit better as I can remeber.

Sounds like some css in your style might be causing that. Look for some-class:hover { for that orange border color.

I have not looked at this ext in quite awhile. I'm glad to see it's still working.

Enjoy!

I hope the add-on development does not work well
Can not control direction and alignment of text, table width can not be controlled
I hope to make the table appear in coordination instead of codes.
The addition in its present form is useful to her

Are you planning to include the tfoot tag in the future?

https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_tfoot.asp

I was trying to make something similar to the following links in a test forum:

https://jsfiddle.net/AlvoErrado2/86he9vmr/

@ AlvoErrado2, I have not thought about using a tfooter tag in the codes but it sounds like a good idea. Normal tables have a header and then all of the cells under that. But I can look into adding that tfooter as an option.

@ abdu7maan, direction of text is controlled on your header in the body tag. Controling the table width and text alignment is in the codes inserted in the textarea before submitting your table. Play with it, see what it does.

Sorry Alvo I'm just now getting back to this.

A table with tfoot is written in this format:

Code: Select all

<table>
    <thead>
        <tr>
            <th> </th>
        </tr>
    </thead>
    <tfoot>
        <tr>
            <td> </td>
        </tr>
    </tfoot>
    <tbody>
        <tr>
            <td> </td>
        </tr>
    </tbody>
</table>
The tfoot goes in between the thead and tbody.

So the textarea format in posting would have to be like this:
Image

Paste this in right after the [/thead] to test one of your tables.

Code: Select all

	[tfoot]
		[tr=null]
			[td=textcenter,3]footer[/td]
		[/tr]
	[/tfoot]
The bbcode added:
BBCODE usage: [tfoot]{TEXT}[/tfoot]
HTML replacement: <tfoot>{TEXT}</tfoot>
Dizplay on posting page: No

And I added a little style to the tables.css, adjust to your preference:

Code: Select all

tfoot tr { background: #cccccc: }
tfoot td { color: #000000 !important;padding: 4px 6px; }
tfoot a { color: #105289 !important;bordr-bottom: none !important; }
tfoot a:hover { color: AA0000 !important:background-color: transparent !important; }
