[RC] Tables

I'm sorry guys things have been tight lately. But I need to add those styles back in as requested and then test.

As far as ABBC3 table conflict goes, I want add what's needed to work around that.
Admins will need to edit out his codes for these tables to work as normal.
Follow Neverlands edit and delete the pipes bbcode. Edit Instructions

I will work on this next and have you a download for 3.3 soon. Promise...

Hello!

I have been testing the version 2.1.3 Tables extension on version phpBB v3.3.1 and we really like the potential.

The extension was downloaded from www.dmzx-web.net/viewtopic.php?t=2514 and enabled via the ACP with no errors.

Our one problem is the Table button icon will only appear on the post editor for administrators but not for regular registered users.
Inserting properly formatted Table code manually will create a table in the post editor that the registered users have access to.
Only the button does not show for the registered users. Is there some setting I've over looked to grant the permissions to see the button?

As admin I can see and use the button on the post editor.

Update: I found the setting in ACP->Permissions->User roles and enabled it. Now the button is visible. Interesting is that regardless of permissions the Tables extension will display a table if the correctly formatted Table bbcode is inserted into the post manually.

I'm using sniper/tables 2.1.2 on phpBB 3.3.1 without any problem.

I am unable to activate 2.1.2 under 3.3.1. Throws an error and remains deactivated.

Tables 2.1.4 under phpBB331 via Chrome browser on iPhone
The tables symbol is not displayed when editing a post from my iPhone Chrome browser, while it works on a laptop.

Thanks Sniper,

but it seems some parts still forgotten. I just working on the updates of the translations and the new style from the english language to do all the same inside the other languages aswell.

I also added some buttons and translation to easy add the footer line inside the tables. It looks those got forgotten . I just corrected thins and only working now at the translations to finalise all.

Halo I set tables to work on desktop only. It will not show on mobile. Mobile is too small to do any work with tables. In the event templates you will find in the class="" a responsive-hide to hide the button from mobile devices. You can remove that class to show on mobile. I want change the extension but you can change your copy.

Miri4ever thanks for your help. I see the german translation has the new footer text. It looks like you have everything in place to me but please let me know if I left something out. You will have to show me what these extra button you are creating. I can not imagine what new buttons you see are needed. But lay it on me.

The added footer was a request and I welcome any other sugestions for changes you guys see fit. Just let me know what you see.

Miri4ever, I like your idea of another button to add the footer. How about I create a mouse over button for that? When you mouse over the tables button a footer button will appear just to the right of it. Then you want have to open the tables selections to add the footer. Is that something like what you're talking about? I can do that.

I have a problem and don't know if anyone also has it:

If I insert one table in a post, it works ok.
But if I try to insert a new post, then button doesn't work..

In chrome, if I go inside the console I got this:

I understood:
If you edit an existing post by inserting a table, everything works.
If you create a new post and insert a table, it does not work.

In my forum, tables works in both cases. I have tables 2.1.4 and phpBB 3.3.1

I edit a post and added a new table. Then I created a new post and created a new table. No problems at all.

I will check this out with abbc3 ext tomorrow and see if I can see your issue. I asume you are using abbc3.

Are you using prosilver style or a style that inherents from prosilver? This is the style I will be using for testing.
