Extension Name: Simple mentions
Author: Paul

Extension Description: Simple extension that allows users to mention another user to get their attention. Supports any type of notification available within phpBB, and has support for permissions to use the mention system.
This extension requires phpBB 3.2RC2 and higher and PHP 5.4.0 or higher!
Extension Version: 1.0.0-RC1

Requirements:
  • phpBB 3.2RC2 or higher
  • php 5.4.0 or higher
Features:
  • Uses the notifications system from phpBB, supports both default notification types as additional types added by extensions.
  • Uses the permission system to deterime if a logged in user is allowed to use the mention system. The extension does not support non logged in users to use the mention system.
  • Internally, the system uses BBCodes.

We need this ext to 3.1
This extension will only support 3.2 due to changes in 3.2 regarding notifications.

The PHP 7 requirement makes it useless though.

Why? phpBB 3.2 fully support PHP7, and it is the most recent PHP version. It makes no sense to develop new stuff for older PHP versions.

Hosting providers won't ever upgrade their PHP versions to 7 unless previous ones deprecate.

A lot of ISPs are already providing PHP7 support, the active support for PHP 5.6 end in January next year.

the problem is that now everything is stopped. There are new extensions and does not fit the above extensions. just look at the forums turnout among developing extensions and those tested. everything still

sorry, I mean there are no new extension and the old extensions are not adjusted to 3.2 as it is waiting for the new version of phpbb
