Ok. Ignore the above. No sooner had I posted it I figured it out.

For those who might be having a similar issue. You need to define the colour of the icon as well. In my case I needed to edit colours.css and add in the following CSS:

Code: Select all

.post-buttons .fa-thumbs-up {
	color: #4267B2;
}
It was displaying, I just couldn't see it because a colour had not been set, it was transparent.
I set it to Facebook blue above and now works fine.

Oh, perfect, thanks for the reply.

The issue seems to be with the theme as I can see each button has different color.

A fix may be defining one base colr, as .post-buttons .fa-fw, and then redefining desired colors with a more specific CSS rule, as i.e.: .post-buttons .fa-fw.fa-thumbs-up

Yes. I have a back up. But if I use it I’ll loose last days messages. Is there a way to do it just copying some tables from the back up?

Slds
Javier
For these steps you need to change table prefix if your installation uses any other. It's the bold part of table name: phpbb_thanks

You need to execute these statments on a SQL console in your database server, selecting your phpbb installation database.

1) Disable the extension

2) Uncompress backup file and open resulting SQL file.

3) From that file, execute in your SQL console the lines after

Code: Select all

# Table: phpbb_thanks
There're three statements:

Code: Select all

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS phpbb_thanks;

Code: Select all

CREATE TABLE `phpbb_thanks` (
  `post_id` mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
  `poster_id` mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
  `user_id` mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
  `topic_id` mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
  `forum_id` mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
  `thanks_time` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
  PRIMARY KEY (`post_id`,`user_id`),
  KEY `post_id` (`post_id`),
  KEY `topic_id` (`topic_id`),
  KEY `forum_id` (`forum_id`),
  KEY `user_id` (`user_id`),
  KEY `poster_id` (`poster_id`)
) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 COLLATE=utf8_bin;

Code: Select all

INSERT INTO phpbb_thanks [here comes all your data]
Thks Naguissa for your help. The data was so big (I have users with 25000 Thks) that I get a time out message doing it on my side, so I send the script to my hosting provider and they did it for me.

Thks

Still none. But I found this old project: https://github.com/alg5/addonforthanksf ... ree/master

I want to check it and integrate an AJAX system; it could be based one that or directly trim code to integrate it and simplify the extension.

Cheers!

The master branch in the ajax add-on extension is behind the dev_3.2.x branch. I believe the latter is the one to be using as it is marked the default branch and is the only branch receiving active development (last commit a month ago which addressed 3.3 compatibility): https://github.com/alg5/addonforthanksf ... /dev_3.2.x

i have used this extension on my 3.2 board without issue for awhile now. i rebuilt new forums using 3.3 and now after adding this extension (that i got new from the first page for 3.3) my board is acting funny. i can see my forums but after i make a post, if i try and view that post i get a "page not working HTTP 500". as soon as i disable this extension i can now read the post again

any ideas?

You need to check your server error log for PHP errors.

Also try reuploading the extension, to dicard anything that failed:

1) Disable the extension
2) Delete extension folder
3) Upload latest release.
4) Enable the extension
5) In ACP - General, clear board cache

If it continues failing check server error log.

Also, what PHP version are you using?

server error log says "no log entries"
