I have a question, since I have been looking inside the files (the language ones and all the others and I have not found it).

I have modified "Thanks" for "Me gusta" ("Like" in spanish) and in the Forum it appears perfect.

But in Tapatalk it appears "DAR LAS GRACIAS" ("GIVE THANKS" in english).

Could the word "GRACIAS" from Tapatalk be changed in any way?
Thanks!

Probably not, I'll check later. I think it's hardcoden on Tapatalk, so no option to change it from the extension.

Screenshot is from old version on an Android 4.0 or 4.2 compatible phone (Jolla Sailfish, still my only phone). It's a 4 inches display, so may be changes from old tapatalk version, old Android support or any responsive design.
Also wondering if the "THANKS" text in Tapatalk can be changed to "LIKE". Is this something we can change in the "mobiquo" folder?

Thanks
It would be great to be able to change it :D

No, it comes from app itself. There's a Like/Dislike functionality but it's totally different to Like.

Hi again buddy!
I come with another query with 2 details that I found:

- In the "thanks list" the legend "Se encontraron x coincidencias • Página 1 de 1" (Found x matches • Page 1 of 1) is hidden up to the top of the page:

Image

And when there are no matches the legend can be seen normally:

Image

- The count of "thank you" (in our case "likes") in the user information panel is not always accurate since another amount some times comes up with respect to the "thanks list":

Hopefully when you had time you could lend me a hand.

Thank you!

The message seems to be any style issue; you need to tweak extension / theme / global CSS to fix this.

The counters can become inaccurate when deleting users, themes, etc. Also, if you cannot see a topic (because phpbb security configurations) it's counted but you cannot see it in the list. If still inaccurate, you have an option to recalculate in ACP -> Extensions

You mean to edit the style of the forum, or within the extension?
If this is the second, inside gfksx \ ThanksForPosts \ styles \ prosilver \ theme I found the file thanks.css.
Something that I can change there?

Being an administrator I have access to all forum topics.
I already made the count but still inaccurate in the case of that user.
Anyway, it is the only case as I review and the counts on other users are fine, so for now I do not worry about that detail. TY again.

Hello,

Any of those.

As I don't want to break anything on upgrades I use a 'dirty trick' to do so. I use this extension:

Code: Select all

Advertisement Management

Nombre limpio: phpbb/ads
Descripción: An extension for phpBB that allows administrators to manage and display advertisements on their forums.
Versión: 2.0.2
Página principal: https://www.phpbb.com
Licencia: GPL-2.0-only
And, I add any CSS fix I need for any extension in a "ads" block at the end.

This way I can update phpBB, the extension or anything without breaking the fix.

Cheers!

Thanks, I'll see if that extension helps me with that detail.

You need to fix the ".top" CSS selector, in your theme forces position to absolute.

I've created a little specific rule you can add to your CSS (i.e.: ussing the 'Ads' method I written before.

Code: Select all

.page-body div.action-bar.top { position:relative; }

Check if it makes any other element fail in the forum when you add that rule, as It's quite generic and could affect other elements.

Cheers!

I inserted that code here:

But this shows up:

I inserted it in "above header" and as "script", but in the both it's the same.
What am I doing wrong?

You also need the style tag:

Code: Select all

<style type="text/css">
.page-body div.action-bar.top { position:relative; }
</style>

My bad, sorry.
I inserted the style tags and it worked!
Now I don't see that almost hidden text anymore:

Have been reading a few pages here. I have a read only forum - set with permission to thank for reg. users. However testing permission/demo user does not show the thanks button. Is this usual or does it need a extra permission?

The permission mark is showing YES for the specific test user, and usergroup. Another admin, for example is seeing the Thanks button. Am I missing something here?

The messages are written by the same test user? If yes, one user cannot thank his own messages....

No, but I found the bug/trick: In order to see the Thanks button, users need to be able to REPORT te post. After giving this permission, this problem is fixed.
