I was not aware that the lock could turn orange - never seen it myself!

I cannot see how this extension would affect the SSL as that is something between your site and your user/browser.

It is this little icon: Image
This should be included in the extension and not be loaded from tinypic.

Actually the whole custom css is not needed at all. I removed the include instruction from the user_defaults.html and deleted the css file.

I uploaded it to my website and changed the location in the file from that tinypic picture and the badge, now indeed the problem is solved, thanks.

You should read this Installing Extensions.

I followed that to the letter. There is nothing showing under "Disabled Extensions". All I get is Enabled Extensions, Vigilinks.

Your folder structure is wrong, it should be => root/ext/david63/userdefaults

ext.php
line 10 : namespace david63\userdefaults;
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

No - because I do not believe that you should change a user's settings withouth them knowing about it, and if they don't like what you have changed they will only change them back.
Honestly that decision should be an Admin decision. There is many reasons for an admin wanting to change to all users some options, but it shouldnt change ALL options. But just some of them that the admin wants. Let say we had a Yes, a No and an extra All Users on/off switch, and it should change to all users only the options marked as All users. All the options without All users should still only change to new users.
That's how an extension like this should be imo. And the decision and responsability should be in admin hands. But thats just my opinion.
And I know that its always your decision, since you're a developer of an opensource ext, but I trully beleive there are many people wanting that extra option.

This extension does what it says "New User".

That's fine, but it is something for another extension - but not by me

In my opinion, admin should not change users settings but he can ask users about it and enforce acceptance/no acceptance or filling fields. Eg. admin adds some profile fields and want to update it by all users.
Eg. "now we require user age, complete the profile", or "new rules on forum, please accept it or delete account", or "at now we offer free newsletter, do you want to get it?", etc.
and user cannot go to the forum without update the profile.
I added an idea for this here but no one wants it
Regards

ps.
I use this extension and it is very good. Thanks David.

I've already an extension for forcing new profile fields. But one thing doesnt touch another. CPF is not a matter here.
In any case I know now what to expect from this ext in the future so I can move on already. Thks for the reply David.

EDIT: For the ones interested I've paid for this feature to my dev guy and now I can apply to registered users too. :)
