Description:
The go-to extension for educational boards but not only. :geek:
Highlight posts lets you 'highlight' a post, making it stand out from the rest.
Posts that truly embrace the topic at hand deserve a pat on the e-back.
Highlighting these posts makes it clear to students that this post is on point and exemplary .. or may be not!
With the additional highlight text you provide it becomes an even more complete package.

Tracking students 'attendance' on a forum was always hard, until now.
Highlight posts also includes a very useful 'marking' function, where students can mark a post as read.
This way you can check who read which post and put some time and effort into the board.

Of course, everything is fully customisable to your own preferences via a sexy ACP. :P
Settings, permissions, per forum and per group/user, even highlight's colours on a per style-basis.
PMs/Notifications are implemented as well and highly customizable.

Everything is pre-setup but make sure to read through the Wiki!

Hi,

in /ext/threedi/hlposts/adm/style/event/acp_forums_normal_settings_append.html on line 2 =>

Code: Select all

{% INCLUDECSS '@threedi_hlposts/hlposts_acp.css' %}
should be changed to

Code: Select all

{% INCLUDECSS '@threedi_hlposts/acp_hlposts.css' %}
to reflect the actual name of this file and so avoid a "fatal TWIG error" message when trying to open a forum's configuration mask.

Appreciated, make it sure though that the lines from 1 to 4 will be changed to be

Code: Select all

{% if not INCLUDED_ACPHLPOSTS_CSS %}
	{% INCLUDECSS '@threedi_hlposts/acp_hlposts.css' %}
	{% set INCLUDED_ACPHLPOSTS_CSS = true %}
{% endif %}
that's for real code's consistency with the other templates.

AS posey said, a new version is on the pipeline already, which will include also this fix. :)

Great :D

A few more things I noticed - I hope you don't mind:

I see hlposts.css being located in .../styles/all/template/ instead of in .../styles/all/theme/ (this folder is missing alltogether): is this done on purpose?

When configuring the extension: inserting the hexcodes via the build-in colour picker only works for prosilver - for other styles they have to be inserted manually.

Ooops, I forgot:
phpBB 3.2.2
XAMPP with PHP 5.6.31
Styles installed: prosilver, Aero, Basic, my own wip-style

Exactly, I know.
That's a remain of the first dev's stages, in a perfect world should be located into the theme folder but I remember I had issue with that being in the all folder, I will look into it again. Edit: fixed, it will be into the next release.

We are testing with Win & Apple.

The color-picker is not built-in, the HTML5 type color input field opens the operating system's color widget and If not supported returns a type text color-picker as the fallback.

Moreover, the Wiki say: https://github.com/3D-I/HighlightPosts/ ... ings#style

My personal environment is: Wampserver64 3.1.1- Firefox/Chrome/IE11 (up-to-date) - PHP 5.6.33/7.0.27/7.1.14/7.2.2 and phpBB 3.2.2

And it works perfectly on our side (3 testers), I tried also with a custom style I am not calling it here (no advertisement) and a bunch of styles together. There is no need to create folders into the ext's style folder, everything should go automatically if those are prosilver 100% compatible/based.

If you want I could take a look if you give to me access to the ACP. Or try disabling your wip style first.

Also, not giving to us the links to where to download such styles does not helps at all. ;)

Can everyone recognize in the list of topics that it is a highlight?
