Great I did that stuff saved it, now I can not login to ACP as admin nor can I go to my own UCP, what do I do now mate
If you're on Firefox this is a known issue (and one that I have had when updating phpBB).

Clearing history is the bit that sorted it out for me.
Getting braver all the time. :D

actually any link I click on my board redirects to the index page
Links appear to be working for me - obviously I cannot say about accessing ACP/UCP as I do not have a login.

I have an issue with your extension and "autogroup" extension.
You are not using a release - if you download and install files from github that are still in development then you can expect problems (incidentally that problem is fixed)
HI David

I can not access ACP, even when i click on a forum on my board it now goes back to the index.

How can I delete the extension, I tried renaming it in ftp but that just didn't work.

Please advise.

Peace

Flogging a dead horse usually doesn't have any positive effect but anyway, here goes.

It's not the first time you forum has been offline because you did not test your changes on a copy of your live forum.
In future: test all changes 1. on localhost, 2. on an online copy of your live forum (with the same host)
+ do not rely on your host for backups - this is your responsibility and when changing something to your forum, take a backup yourself beforehand; the worst that can happen is that you lose half an hour of posts.
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

@ TheButcher2 - I have to endorse what warmweer has just posted. This extension although at RC stage is still in development and so should be tested before installing on a production site.

I am a bit concerned about not being able to access any links as I cannot reproduce that behaviour and it may be that it is a style issue, but I guess we will never know for sure.

As for

a little bit of research would have found Knowledge Base - Disabling all extensions at once which would have solved your problem in a few minutes.

I'm now using the official RC5 and it is working. Thank you :-)

Hi,

I have a strange thing going on, with the ext.

When I open a link in a forum email (my own forum, with admin status) , and I want to reply the topic, it shows a popup saying, that I didn't accepted the cookie policy, can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong, maybe a setting is set wrong ??

Thanks..

Hi KinGWoK

Check if you have accepted the Privacy Policy/GDPR under UCP - User Data
You should see a line, something like "Date of accepting..."

If that is not set with a date. Accept the policy :)

You can also check this in ACP
ACP - Users And Groups - Privacy Data
Enter your username in the search field. Check if you are listed with "Date of accepting..." including a date.

Thanks again David for a wonderful extension. Really useful.

Everything works fine for my forum, however I have a question for you.

At the moment when people look at the policies page (as either a new user before registration or a registered user) the Cookie policy shows at the top and the Privacy GDPR Policy at the bottom.

I would like to invert the order, so that the GDPR shows at the top instead.

How can I do that?

Many thanks.

The easiest way, without changing code, would be to "swap" them over in the Policy editor - although I have not tried it.

January 1st, 1970 is the date value of the unix timestamp with the value 0, so that is in this case equivalent to "Never"

I know that but there is the following in acp_list_privacypolicy.php language file.

Code: Select all

	'NO_VISIT'				=> 'User never visited',
Perhaps the author want to show this instead the date 1-1-1970.
