Translate the language fileshurghanico wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 3:46 pm question:
how it would be possible to translate and manage also the top "acceptance" banner in different languages?
Yes, what you said surely would be possible, but I don't want to replace the original english language files, rather I would like to add the translations in italian, in order to give the option to the user to choose the preferred language also of the top banner, similarly to what I did already through the ACP for the texts of the Cookie Policy, Privacy Acceptance, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use (2)david63 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 5:52 pmTranslate the language fileshurghanico wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 3:46 pm question:

You would create a set of files additional tohurghanico wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 6:35 pm but I don't want to replace the original english language files,
en
and put them in a folder it

it
folder and put the files translated into it, and the system would already work automatically..I did as you said above here, but unfortunately the result is that I can not switch to italian anymore, both the UI and the policies texts..david63 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 8:47 pmYou would create a set of files additional tohurghanico wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 6:35 pm but I don't want to replace the original english language files,en

I have no idea what you have done but my guess would be that one, or more, of your language files have an error in them - or they may not have been saved in the correct format.hurghanico wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 1:43 am I did as you said above here, but unfortunately the result is that I can not switch to italian anymore, both the UI and the policies texts..
With Notepad++ I edited the text language only of privacypolicy.php and ucp_privacypolicy.php and I saved them in the same format they were into the "it" folder where I added also the remaining files copied from the "en" folder..david63 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 7:23 amI have no idea what you have done but my guess would be that one, or more, of your language files have an error in them - or they may not have been saved in the correct format.hurghanico wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 1:43 am I did as you said above here, but unfortunately the result is that I can not switch to italian anymore, both the UI and the policies texts..
I have never heard of that happening before. I am not an expert on language packs so I really have no ideas - sorry.hurghanico wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 12:11 pm I wonder why the extension may affect the board UI language change functionality
I solved the problem, and I also installed the rc6 with success..david63 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 12:26 pmI have never heard of that happening before. Ok, perhaps offline was not the correct wording: change that to online but not functional.
