Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Privacy Policy

Hello,

I'm testing this great extension and I begin to understand its way of working.
However, after validating cookies + privacy, I get the usual popup to accept cookies, I click on Accept and the popup disappears but comes back after 2 or 3 seconds.

This is on a local server.

In which direction should I search? Other extensions? Something else?
Thanks in advance.

thanks a lot David
sorry for the silly question but to upgrade to 3.3 version can I just replace the entire extension folder or am I going to lose all the previous acceptance ?

Disable, delete files (not data), upload new files, enable - and you will not lose anything

Well, I had no time to search for this problem but, when I returned today, everything worked fine.

Just our of curiosity: how is the acceptance registered? There is a column in table phpbb3_users named user_accept_date, but it remains empty.

Thanks in advance.

Hi David,
i have a small problem between this extension and board portal.
Inserting in my htaccess (root) this string:

Code: Select all

DirectoryIndex app.php/portal index.php index.html index.htm
everything works perfectly. But when i reopen the browser and write my url (now... localhost) you don't see the privacy acceptance box and consequently all the links are not clickable.
Used versions:
phpbb3: 3.2.5
board portal:2.1.0
privacy policy: 2.1.0-rc7
Thanks for your help. ;)

I think that this has cropped up before and this extension is not compatible with the Board Portal extension

Hi David,
I've installed your fantastic extension on my forum, but since a couple of days, I wasn't able to access to the forum, I have this error:

Code: Select all

There are no registered paths for namespace "" in "policy_accept.html" at line 19.
I'm not able to enter as ACP and the problem still remain even if I clean the cookies...my forum is completely locked!!
I also tried to upload my last backup of the folder, but nothing works...

Can you help me?
thanks!

That is an old version of that file - and possibly some other files are out of date. Download the latest version.

idea: i think the only possible solution would be to not edit the htaccess file and make both extensions work.I will do tests.
Ok David, thank you. ;)
