Thanks, please report any issue you find.

Could you share the tools you used to test it? I couldn't find it with a quick web search.

So far I've only used Facebook, Twitter and Yandex markup validator/tester.
Sure. I'm using the free Moz PocketSEO for those metadata results on Android and iOS. This is their site http://pocketseo.io/ it's a good app with no spam or rubbish.

Continuing from our last post, we are also now seeing less SEO errors in our SEMrush reports after installing your SEO Metadata RC2 update for phpbb.

We just have to wait and see how it reflects in our SERPS but will report back here with updates on how it's affected the SERPS results in a week from now :)

Thank you for the update. All works, but I get these errors in the Facebook sharing debugger:

Code: Select all

Warnings That Should Be Fixed

    Missing Properties
The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id
Tag specified as 'name' instead of 'property'
The following meta tags are specified using 'name' instead of 'property' and will be ignored unless specified using the 'property' key: fb:app_id

Working perfectly man. Thank you for this generous update and all the additional features :geek:

A true all-in-one SEO extension for our boards which should come as standard with all new phpbb future builds.

Looking great on my forum.
I did delete the empty meta description in the overall_header... it is beyond me why phpbb includes an empty description meta tag. But this extension works great.

Ok, so everything seems to be fine from my tests and your comments, so I released version 1.1.0, I'm about to send it for validation.

Note: I changed some file names (migrations), so completely uninstall your current version (data then files) before installing the new version, otherwise you might need to manually delete the module ACP_SEO_METADATA.

After updating to that version, it doesn't retrieve the images anymore.

Weird, I reverted to the RC version and the picture gets retrieved again.

The picture wouldn't appear on Discord, and neither on Facebook.

Edit: I just realized that "Enable Open Graph" was turned off (like lots of options that are actually required, a bit annoying) by default when you install the latest version.

Trying it again.

You can also use the Debugger for already shared links, to update the info

Alright, I installed it again and set 'Enable Open Graph' to yes, it works perfectly now.

Thanks to the OP for this great extension :).

That's not true, Open Graph is enabled by default:

https://github.com/AlfredoRamos/phpbb-e ... on.php#L58

It was tested on live boards before releasing version 1.1.0
