Check your PMs.

The ext update was the only thing I have changed. I now went back to 1.1.0 and everything was fine again.
Thanks.

The root of the issue seems to be the cache, if you still want to test the latest beta, after upgrading purge the cache or do a clean install of the extension (uninstall, delete its data then install the new version).

If that's not enough I would appreciate if you could share information about your setup:

- PHP version
- Web server (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, etc.) and its version
- phpBB version

Even a full clean install did not help.

PHP: 7.2.20-2+0~20190725.24+debian9~1.gbp69697c
Web Server: Apache
phpBB: 3.2.7

Hi everyone !

I love this extension, it's very great and I'm happy to see anyone developp a code for social networkings :)

However I have a little problem : the image in my post can be found because I have the type and dimension of the image, but I don't have the line with the URL image :

Code: Select all

<meta property="og:image" content="https://imgurl">

For example, in this topic : https://www.lecture-imaginaire.fr/viewtopic.php?t=4479

Code: Select all

<meta property="og:description" content="Aliens mode d'emploi - Manuel de survie en situation de contact extraterrestre de Laurent Genefort VOTRE VOISIN EST UN EXTRATERRESTRE ? VOTRE C Œ UR S’EMBALLE À">
<meta property="og:image:type" content="image/jpeg">
<meta property="og:image:width" content="242">
<meta property="og:image:height" content="384">
<meta property="article:published_time" content="2019-08-22T09:55:19+02:00">
Do you know what I have forget ?
Thank a lot ! :D

Do you mean this?

Code: Select all

<html dir="{S_CONTENT_DIRECTION}" lang="nl-NL">
<html prefix="og: http://ogp.me/ns#">
<head>
Sorry English is not my native language :oops:
regards: Willem

Hi,

In the topic you give as example there's no Open Graph image dimensions, which is expected since there's no image either.

By default only local images (from your domain) will be extracted, the image of your topic is hosted on a third-party service, so you must disable the option "Local images" in the ACP settings page.

Hi Abaddon :)

Thank you for your answer, I had already change this configuration for extract all image and not only local image, and I purge the cache after :) :

Image

If I change "Image Strategy" for "First Image", I don't have the dimensions in the meta property and always not the image URL ; even if I use an image from my domain like this topic : https://www.lecture-imaginaire.fr/viewt ... =35&t=4465

I ask because I don't have an image when I use twitter with your extension :)

(Sorry if I use uncorrectly langage, I am not very experiment with english :oops: )

It seems that there's a problem with you server configuration, this shouldn't be empty.

That information is retrieved from the configuration set in Server settings:

I'll add some checks, however if you don't fix that issue it won't work regardless of the fix since the problem is your board itself.

It does not matter, thank you for your help ;)

I wanted to install SEO Metadata extension for phpBB Version 1.2.0-beta3.
But I got this error:
Needed Modul does not exist: ACP_CAT_DOT_MODS

Here the detailed error description:
Während der Anpassung der Datenbank ist etwas falsch gelaufen und ein Fehler aufgetreten. Die Änderungen, die vor dem Fehler durchgeführt wurden, wurden so weit wie möglich rückgängig gemacht. Du solltest jedoch prüfen, ob dein Board fehlerfrei funktioniert.
Ein erforderliches Modul existiert nicht: ACP_CAT_DOT_MODS

What do I have to do to activate properly?

That's not a error of this extension but of your board.

Fix your board.

Try adding the module manually, that should allow you to install the extension, however you should clean your database.

ACP > System > Module managment > Administration Control Panel:
  • Module language name: ACP_CAT_DOT_MODS
  • Module type: Category
  • Parent: No parent
  • Module enabled: Yes

Not to go off topic but how does one go about "cleaning" their phpbb database - generally speaking?

There's an unofficial Support Tool Kit for phpBB 3.2, it has a "Database cleaner" tool.
