I have not setup permissions for this yet. Anyone can use it the way it is now. I will add the if statement to where it want show on the pages you have BBCodes disabled on.

And I'll set permissions for admin use only. You can always add permission for other groups and members if you want.
It should all be fine in the next release.
Is there already any progress for the next release?

Yes there is but I ran off into a different project. I have a couple of other things I need to add and I'll put up the next version.

But I have nothing for your acp thing you wanted seeing how bbcodes are not allowed in your project.

I ran across a small issue when looking into updating this extension.
Username BBCode ☆ by Zukero is already out there.

Name changed to S_Username BBCode and updated to version 1.0.1 on first post.
Added permissions and switches.

Seems to work without flaw as well as the permissions.

Question: How do I create a custom icon for the BBcode?

It looks like it already has an icon set up, the user icon.

If you want to change that, open the styles/all/template/event/posting_editor_buttons_custom_tags_before.html file and change the icon.
<i class="icon fa-user fa-fw" aria-hidden="true"></i>, change fa-user to any valid choice from https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/

That default icon would work, it's just that I don't see it.

Maybe it's because I'm using the Advanced BBcode Box extension?

Advanced BBcode Box sounded like a good guess, but it shows up for me with or without that, even when using Win10 style. Circled in red in both screen shots.

Assuming the event template Goldy pointed to is firing, the only thing display of the icon is conditional on is the newly-implemented permissions. So if you were playing with the permission aspect, maybe that's what preventing it from displaying.

Edit: Just realized your screen shot is showing the textual version of the s_username button, too. An additional guess I would throw at that is that you do have "display on posting page" enabled in the custom BBCode settings, but do not have the extension-specific permissions set to allow your user to use the BBCode. That's how I would get the display shown in your screen shot, for what it's worth. From what I can see, the extension expects you can just leave "display on posting page" disabled in the custom BBCode configuration, and the extension is going to display the button (if you have permission) regardless.

My host defaults all folders to 755.This is a GET request and not a POST request, correct? Pretty sure it's GET, but I'm wondering about any security I have.

Okay, see your edit. I omit it from displaying to registered users and newly registered. I don't want anyone to see it. I guess it doesn't matter. Can't use it due to the permissions (which I now know what you're talking about with permissions.) I'll play with the display on posting page or not.

BINGO! Unchecking Display on posting page makes the font awesome icon appear. What's more is that the code is different than what it was before with just the text. Before I saw [s_username][/s_username]. Now I see, [s_username /]. Berry, berry interesting.
