Description:

• Autoembeds your PDF attachments with Google PDF viewer
• Saves a copy of your PDF attachment in the "images/pdf" folder automatically created on purpose.
• The embedded PDF can be viewed full-screen on a new tab/window with a click of a button.
• Once disabled your PDF attachments revert to the native behaviour.
• Embeds only attachments, not URLs.

Embeds only attachments, not URLs.

And no BBcodes used.

Simply attach your PDF as usual and place it inline, it will be automatically embedded.
If you have thumbnails ON then the attachment (if not placed inline) will be adapted to the size you sat in ACP.

Previously attached PDFs will be embedded as well.

Opening the full view allows you to use your google account to do of the PDF whatever you want, indeed.

Hi 3Di,

Extension looks great, but it does not show the attachment and preview instantly, upon landing on the page with pdf attachment, I first see text and blank space, until I load the url two or three times! It is more slower in mobiles than desktops! Is this the right one https://phpbbstudio.com/extensions/google-pdf-autoembed or the one on GitHub or both?

Both, but the download at the site is the way to go.

Could depend on the speed of the connection and the size of the PDF, anyway...

I need a link to where all of this happens, to self check-out it.

It is actually unpredictable, sometimes you see the doc as soon as you open the link, sometimes not. Even in your demo, the first time I opened I did not see anything, I kept figuring out what was the demo about!

I do not think if this should be much different from Google docs public sharing, see for example posts #s 1 & 3 at

you see the docs immediately as you open the links.

It is a good extension which saves you the the hassle of re-texting the same thing from a pdf document.

With my mobile (LTE) is all ok, with my PC (same line) too.
It could be an issue with your site, since the first link opened after 50 seconds, the second one throwed an error wich speaks book.
