A very nice extension.
Works without problems.

It would be nice if the bar with the smilies were closed in the post. Perhaps generally adjustable via the admin whether immediately visible or only after opening.
In mChat I would like it better if the old view is retained there. Maybe you can also select it in the admin.

Otherwise great and finally someone who has taken on the beloved smilies.

Those are some good ideas. I might use them in a later update. In the mean time, a new update. This update changes the styling of the tabs. They now use standard style classes to match whatever your board's current style might be.

New update

Good enough to be called a beta version.
Created extension settings.
Reinstated the hidden tab. Only way to deal with duplicate smilies.
Tabs can now be set to start in a collapsed state
Enabled lazy loading. No more loading 300 smilies at once
Converted tabs to flex CSS.
Smilies can now be used in place of text on tabs, or you can enable both, or either.
Need to add a location setting, above message box or below.
Possible emoji tab in the future. No promises.
Works on Android.

Hello.

After a while in the practical test, I can report that when the smiley boxes are closed at the start, the boxes can only rarely be opened.
The problem only affects tablets and handys.
Only a narrow line appears there and the box does not open completely.

It would be great if that could be fixed.

Except for the localization setting that has already been reported, everything is going fine!

Fixed panel resizing while closed
Fixed duplicate new tabs
Enabled tab location setting
Added above, below, left, and right of message box location options
Changed smiley loading icon to svg

Note, the new location option does not apply to mChat.
