Hi david
I do not understand the point of this extension. What does it add to members added to subscriptions?
Sorry for my English ... I do my best!

Not a lot - it is in response to a couple of requests last week.

Based on your original request you may be interested in this - viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2580136
I've already installed and verified that your forumsubs extension works. By clicking the new button at the bottom of each forum, I can see all its subscribed members in alphabetical order. This listing would be even more useful, if it could also display the total number of subscribers. As my primary forum has over 800 members, I have to scroll down without a sense of how many they are.

Choosing the new Subscriptions item in the user profile, the panel shows all the forum categories that can be expanded / collapsed to show / hide their respective subforums. However, the primary forum, which has no parent (and is its own category), does not show at the top.

Thanks for taking my request to heart, David! It could have saved much time while setting up our forums. Even with that behind us, your extension remains useful, for many users (despite their scholarly credentials) are overwhelmed by the wealth of options and choices of phpBB.

Regards,

Sunthar

I don't understand - what is a "primary" forum, there is no such definition in phpBB

No problem.
Could totals be shown not only with subscriber listings for each forum, but also on other associated panels in this ext that show all the forums?

The forum at the top ("Abhinavagupta: the Hierophant"), which does not belong to any category, does not show up in your subscription panels:

https://www.svabhinava.org/forum/index.php

Only the other subforums, which all belong to a specific category, show up with check boxes next to them to (un-) subscribe.

The top forum is "primary" not in a technical (phpBB) sense, but because it has the greatest number of subscribers (i.e., members in the original Yahoo! group) and all the other subforums are conceptually subordinated to it.

Thanks,

Sunthar

OK -I understand now - that can be fixed.

I can put that data in the ACP no problem but not sure where else you want to see it.

Just on the two new ACP panels shown in your screenshots above. Later, such totals could perhaps be added to a couple of built-in panels as well.

The ability to click on a subscriber name in the forum listing to be taken directly to their settings in the ACP panel is proving quite useful.

Thanks.
