Most active forum: Off Topic
[ 789 Posts / 52.99% of user’s posts ]
Most active topic: Random Topic Here
[ 81 Posts / 5.44% of user’s posts ]

^ I can see this information in the profile of all my members but on my own profile, as the admin, this information does not display. Why is this and how I can I fix it?

Actually it doesn't...

if you look at your profile here at phpbb.com and then mine here at phpbb.com, you'll notice that your most active topic and forum do not display. I think I may have found a correlation.

Here on this forum, you have over 10k posts. I have a miniscule amount comparatively. On my forum, where I also experience this phenomenon, I have over 10k posts but none of my other users come close.

Since it happens here at the phpbb.com site, maybe it’s just a limitation of the statistics code that prevents it from accurately picking a “most active topic or forum” when there are so many posts to contend with.

You think? If you don’t agree and still think it’s a problem that I incurred with my forum modding, then I’ll fill out the paperwork. =)

When a user has more than 5000 posts, this information will be not displayed. :)
To remove this limit, try the following.

Open: includes/functions_display.php
Search:

Code: Select all

// Do not display user activity for users having more than 5000 posts...
    if ($userdata['user_posts'] > 5000)
    {
        return;
    }
Edit or remove this code to change the limit.

Awesome! Thanks! Do you by any chance know why this limit was imposed? Does it put a strain on the server to process all those posts to come up with the statistical data? I don't want to mess with it if it was put in there for a good reason. I don't suspect they'd just arbitrarily put in limits like that so I should probably let it be.
