3.0.0 -> 3.0.2....Changed files cause mySQL and other errors

Post by *Christian* » Sat Sep 27, 2008 10:54 am

Upgrading my friend's board with no MODs installed. Downloaded the changed files for 3.0.0 to 3.0.2, uploaded them to the server and ended up with the following error when I go to view a topic:

Code: Select all

 Return to the index page
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND user_id = 16' at line 4 [1064]

SQL

SELECT notify_status FROM phpbb_topics_watch WHERE topic_id = AND user_id = 16

BACKTRACE

FILE: includes/db/mysql.php
LINE: 158
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_error()

FILE: includes/functions_display.php
LINE: 1003
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_query()

FILE: viewtopic.php
LINE: 456
CALL: watch_topic_forum()
Also this error when i try to access Admin Panel:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_formatted_filesize() in /home/sites/domain.com/public_html/includes/acp/acp_main.php on line 322
Can anybody suggest what i'm doing wrong?

Can you try replacing the includes/functions_display.php with a fresh copy

Or replace the entire includes folder with the one in a FULL download of version 3.0.2 from here.

I've got the same problem, I've tried uploading a new includes folder as you suggested but no improvement. I've also discovered that the board works OK in Firefox but not in IE or Chrome.

Update, it doesn't work in Firefox now but it did for a short while.

I don't know much about php coding but does this line look right, with three equals signs?

if ($this->query_result === false)

There are several lines in his file,mysql.php, with three equals signs.

We have a 6-hour bump rule and you have bumped twice in 20 minutes. If you need to add information, edit your previous post. Thanks.

Sorry. I have now fixed the problem anyway. I didn't upload the files correctly the first time, replacing the includes folder from the 3.0.2 full install did the trick.
