I would like to know if there is a way of making a forum closed to any outsiders to register. Like a modification that would allow members to invite others, and they would then use an Invite code or similar. I am using 3.x

You can use the My VIP Code MOD to only allow people that have the code to join.
The download of that MOD is broken but here is still a mirror.
