Hi and welcome.

What exactly are you trying to do? Are you adding a MOD or your own thing?

I think you are wanting to add a google search to your forum. if so, just add the following to wherever you want it to appear changing myforum.com to your forums real address

Code: Select all

<form method="get" action="http://www.google.com/search" target="google_window">
<input type="text" style="color: #000000"   name="q" size="30"maxlength="255"  value=" Search the forum..." onfocus="if(this.value==' Search the forum...')this.value=''" onblur="if(this.value=='')this.value=' Search the forum...'"/>
<input type="submit"  style="color: #000000"  name="sa" value="Search"></input>
<input type="hidden" name="sitesearch" value="myforum.com" checked="checked"><br />
</form>

using this on a forum is not as simple as just adding it to a page on your normal website.

I would assume that you would want to create a separte page to display the results but have it look like the rest of your forum.

If that is true, then you need to check out the article in the knowledge base here about how to create custom phpbb pages. then you would add the results code to that page.
