Could you be more specific?

There are no known security vulnerabilities with phpBB3.

The only "privacy" information that uses "involuntarily" give up when they join your board is their IP address. You can limit the viewing of IPs by moderators with this MoD.

What else did you have in mind?

1. The GD CAPTCHA already installed with phpBB is a very good way to tell humans from bots. If you are still having trouble, you may want to try this.

2. There is no MOD for phpBB that will make your database more secure. I would, however, suggest the following tips:
-Make sure your database user password is very complex/robust and isn't a password you use anywhere else on the net.
-Make sure your cPanel (or whatever interface your host gives you) password is also complex/robust and isn't a password you use anywhere else on the net.
-Avoid logging in to your cPanel (or similar) from an unsecured network (e.g. a public wi-fi).
-Make sure your config.php file is properly CHMODed (644 or 640).
-Only download and install MODs from reputable sources and make sure your MODs are up-to-date. Poorly designed or out-of-date MODs seem to be the primary source of SQL injections.

3. I have no idea what you mean by "anti boot users." Sorry.
