This is stated on the ACP index page in the "board version" field in "board statistics". Or you can run this query direct on the database:

Code: Select all

SELECT config_value
FROM phpbb_config
   WHERE config_name = 'version'
Where you of course have to change the table prefix if you aren't using the default "phpbb_"

Reason: I really have issues with bbcodes today :(

That info is only available to admins for a reason.

If a board is 'out of date' that way it is less likely that a hack will be carried out against it for something 'cured' in a later version.

It is for the admins to know and to get updated, not standard members.

Luckily there is no way to find that out if you aren't the owner/administrator of that board. If you could that would be a potentially security hole.
You can of course try to look for very version specific features on the board and that way try to guess the version.

Is not accurate because frequently when people update they do not update the docs folder.
