Blank Forums index?

There is no forums displayed at all,what could be the problem, i assume it to be mysql related because i have replaced most of the files with 3.0.4

Is this a new install or an upgrade, from what you say I presume it is an upgrade?

I've fixed the forums by deleting a parent forum in the MYsql database that was causing this (had a javascript that was causing it) now there is a a blank general forum at the top above.

You are going to cause massive problems if you delete ANYTHING directly in the database.
There are multiple linked lists that will now be out of synch.
What exacly did you do, in what order?
