Bad Update

Post by eeef »

Good chance I may have been a tool......
Was on 3.0.0 and wanted to upgrade to 3.0.4. Couldn't find a changed files package so dropped the full install over the top. (having saved my config.php) renamed the install directory but presume there's a database update I need to make?
Also, when I try and hit the root index.php it redirects to /install/index.php so presume I need to delete/rename something else?

It suggests you haven't put the proper config.php file back yet.

If the one on the server is blank you will be directed to an install page.

When you do that and upload the install folder, go to
yoursite.com/forumfolder/install/database_update.php
let it run
delete the install folder
Done.

Hmm, previous database updates have run pretty quickly. Mines been running for about 5 minutes so far...sound right to you?

Sounds like it's timed out. Just run it again.
