Arranging BBCode buttons

Post by JackGray »

I posted this originally in the BBCode sticky at the top of this forum, but with no replies I thought I'd try here.

Is there a way to organize the custom BBcode buttons on the editing page. I have added the following BBcodes:

left align
center align
right align
hr
tab

The order the buttons appear in is Center, Hr, Left, Right and then Tab. I want to organize the buttons so that the align buttons appear together [left] [center] and [right].

Any ideas?

The BBcodes are arranged in the sequence they are created.
Simply Remove and re add them in the sequence you require

Wrong COD3M4ST3R-X :? . I've tried it twice now and each custom BBCode appears to auto-arrange itself alphabetically in my list of custom codes in the ACP.

Any other ideas?

COD3M4ST3R-X, I've found a file that might have a lot to do with how the BBCodes are arranged. You might want to review acp_bbcodes.php located at ../includes/acp. Still, I think your initial impression may be correct, that is that there may be a fix in phpMyAdmin. Since I don't really understand php, I can't really figure out what is going on in this acp_bbcodes.php file.

Lets give this another shot.

I have installed 4 custom BBCodes and the ACP is auto-arranging them alphabetically. The codes are Center, Hr, Left and Right. I want to keep the alignment buttons together instead of the horizontal line button sticking itself in the middle of everything. See the capture below:

COD3M4ST3R-X and I seem to feel that the fix may lie in phpMyAdmin, though there is lots of references in the acp_bbcodes.php file.

Isn't there someone out there that can shed some light on this anomaly?

Thanks for any help!

Since there has been no apparent resolution for this issue, I have been forced to delete all custom BBCodes except [center] and [hr]. That way there is no issue with the align buttons getting intermingled with the hr button.

Where can I post a recommendation with the development people to work on this issue with the next update?

If anyone can come up with a work-around I'd appreciate it!

Thanks much!
Jack
