Report denial reasons

Post by Dan27 » Mon May 25, 2009 3:41 pm

Hi, ages ago I found out (by myself to! :D ) how to manage the report reasons, but to this day
I still cannot find out how to edit the 'Other *' denial reason, and it is really annoying me.

Is there anyway I can delete it and then have my own reason or something?

Thanks, Dan.

admin panel
system tab
manage report/denial reasons

You can click the green cog icon to change it to anything you like or add a new one.

Yeah I did do that, I edited the title and description but it still stayed the same, I mean this one:
I don't think I can edit it because it is built in or something...

Just make a new one then.
Maybe that's to cover anything that doesn't fit into the other ones you've made.

Yes, you are correct. However, you can create a new reason named, for example "Other reason".

I've just had a closer look.
That one has a * next to it.
At the top of the screen it says

There is one default reason (marked with a *) you are not able to remove, this reason is normally used for custom messages if no reason fits.

So there's a good reason why you can't change it.

Hmm... Ok thanks for the help :) question answered ;) :)

*Edit: @ Kevin: Yeah I know, thats why I wanted to know if there was a place in the code or something like that
where I could change what it said, I looked in the language folder but couldn't find a file that looked like the right one.

"other" is set as uneditable in the file includes/acp/acp_reasons.php. You could change it if you really, really wanted to.
