Joomla intregration

Post by wingnut144 » Tue Jun 02, 2009 7:54 pm

I am working on using Joomla for the main webpage for our club, but also want to keep my phpbb3 forum.

I don't need the header info for my forum, but I am unsure what to remove in the code to the header info doesn't show anymore. I looked in the overall_header.php file, but wasn't sure what to remove.

Has anyone done this, and can anyone suggest the best way to accomplish what I am needing to do??? :)

Thanks!

What specifically do you want to remove from the header? No search? No CSS resize? The more detail you provide the more help we can be. :)

The logo area and background, I would be fine if it started right at the search area

I have done this for my site.
I have a custom header and footer on all pages.
On the forum pages I also have the forum navbar and footer.

It's fairly easy to do and just requires you creating a new header and footer template and "wrapping" the forum pages in them.

If you click on "view source" on my site or better still, use Firebug in FF you can see exactly how I did it.

Hmmm, guess I'm not that familiar with Firefox and the other utility to know what you're talking about.

Can you put it in simple terms for a dummie!! :)

Well done! That looks seamless.
