Hello,
Like here:

How can I :
  1. Arrange BBcodes in the order I want?
  2. Specify an icon for a BBcode?
  3. Make drop-down menus for BBcodes categories?

1. Rearrange their order in posting_buttons.html
2. Make a new button class in .css and edit that same file to show it.
3. Beyond the scope of this forum. Try Style Writer's Discussion

i have two questions: one relates to this topic, and the other relates to word censors + bbcodes

1 - how would you arrange custom bbcodes?

2
- I tried following the How to change word censor behaviour to work with Code Tags but it seems it didnt work :(

i would like for this smiley " Image " to show up whenever a word censor is trggered. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you! -David

You can't (without a MOD). That's something that I've wished for, too. I want the default BBCodes to show up in the BBCodes list (so you can rearrange them or disable them; you obviously wouldn't be able to delete them or edit them) and I want custom BBCodes to allow you to style the BBCode buttons (so a strikethrough code would show up with a line through the tag name).

First, your example wasn't in CODE tags.

Second, the censoring is working just fine -- the text that you entered is appearing in place of that word. Apparently censoring is done after BBCode expansion.

Have you defined that icon in the Smilies section? If not, it's technically not a "Smiley".

Regardless, I tried putting the smiley text (like ) in as the censor and I didn't get the smiley, so it seems that smiley processing is done before word censoring, too.

ohhhh opps

yes it was defined as a smilie as seen here:
http://i54.tinypic.com/fnx0nq.jpg

changed the word censoring:
http://i51.tinypic.com/2wqxsmt.jpg

still doesnt work:
http://i52.tinypic.com/9s83gw.jpg

so since neither way worked, do you know of another way to get the smilie " Image " so show up when a word censor is triggered?

I already said that even the smiley text wouldn't work, and I just tried using the IMG HTML tags, which didn't work, either. That means you'll probably need another MOD.

For want of a better solution, perhaps you could use JavaScript. Have all of your word censors map to something like "~~censored~~", then in overall_header.html set up an OnLoad handler to replace that text with <img src="censored.jpg" alt="Censored!" />.

only problem i can see with that would be the "script-blockers" like NoScript for firefox :?

dont want to give my members the option/opportunity to turn off word censoring. trying to keep a clean community :P but thanks again, ill just have to wait until a MOD comes out that works right into the smiley/word censor in the ACP

What? Word censoring wouldn't be "turned off" with my suggestion. Even if users turned JavaScript off, they would still see "~~censored~~"; they just wouldn't see your image.

Plus, turning JavaScript off would affect other board functions, too (Quick Reply, BBcode and smiley insertion, font resizing, etc.), so they'd be hurting themselves by doing that.
