What fixed the problem for me was when I updated to 3.0.6. Prior, even after a reformat and fresh install of WAMP with my database, this problem still occurred. As soon as I updated it worked as it should. Are you running 3.0.6?
The box said 'You need Windows XP or better' .... so I installed linux.

I have been using 3.06. Using 127.0.0.1 did not work. My cookie path is correct.

It is possible that it may be due to other factors, possibly due to using WAMP? I can still store cookies with other things such as phpmyadmin, but phpbb doesn't seem to be able to.

If you view the source of a page served by your board, you should see a block of code like this about a page down:

Code: Select all

//
	var jump_page = 'Enter the page number you wish to go to:';
	var on_page = '';
	var per_page = '';
	var base_url = '';
	var style_cookie = 'phpBBstyle';
	var style_cookie_settings = '; path=/; domain=.phpbb.com';
	var onload_functions = new Array();
	var onunload_functions = new Array();
What does your's look like?

Is that part of the prosilver template? I don't use prosilver. I use a modified subsilver2.

Yes, that was captured from right here at phpBB.com.
Could you try it with standard prosilver to see what it shows?

With prosilver, this is what appears in the page source:

Code: Select all

	var jump_page = 'Enter the page number you wish to go to:';
	var on_page = '';
	var per_page = '';
	var base_url = '';
	var style_cookie = 'phpBBstyle';
	var style_cookie_settings = '; path=';
	var onload_functions = new Array();
	var onunload_functions = new Array();

E: And just a note, it still does not work with prosilver.
