3.0.6 RSS Display Feed from External RSS Feeds?

Hi,

Just curious is the build in RSS in phpBB version 3.0.6 able to display rss feed as post from external rss feeds?

Do you mean if the rss feed in 3.0.6 can posts in your forum from a outside rss feed ?

If so im fairly sure its not meant to do that.

Well ya pretty much that was what I was looking for, for phpbb3 to take a outside rss feed (e.g. from Gizmodo) and show each feed as a new post in my forum posted by a designed user/bot account, sort of a latest rss news feed kinda of thing...

So the build in 3.0.6 rss feed is the reverse of this...it seems it will make 'your posts' as feeds correct? Thanks!

Yes, that's correct -- the contents of your forum will be available as RSS feeds. Creating posts automatically based on an RSS feed would still require a MOD -- if you would like to do that MOD Requests would be an excellent place to start.

I did do a search...that mod has been in Dev for the longest time....was wondering if phpBB 3.0.6 would come with something like that build in...thanks for nothing.
