Big Problem

Post by mikey12561 » Thu Oct 15, 2009 2:35 am

I don't know what is going on. My forum is having some kind of trouble that I really can't figure out.

It not showing any of the index or my portal just the top banner/header thing. I can't even get in to login. Its bothering me.

my site is [Removed]

Also a friend said when he went to the site this poped up.

"The website at [Removed] contains elements from the site ncccnnnc.cn, which appears to host malware – software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent. Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer."

This can be closed up I suppose. It turns out there is a hacker/trojan getting a hold of my hosting company. They are on top of it but they said look through my files to find problems and I have no idea what to look for lol.

Hello,

I see and I am sorry about this. What kind of FTP client are you using? However, just look through your html or php files for any text that hasn't been written by you. However, it sounds pretty weird because I own a webhosting company and if we would be injected with a HTML virus or any kind of virus on the server we're having all the webhosting accounts on, we could just simply perform a scan and delete the malwares. I suggest you to ask your hosting provider if they can do this if it hasn't already been resolved.

Best Regards,
Nikkster
For webhosting, I recommend http://www.ukhost4u.com/ or http://www.crewebs.com/

Malicious Javascript (it writes an iframe to the page) has been added to your template files. Please do the following:
ReadMe Before Posting / Frequently Asked Questions wrote:My board has been hacked, what do I do?
Please do the following before making any modifications to your board (this includes changing passwords, editing files, running the support toolkit, etc.):
  1. Save a copy of the files (simply create a local copy of the files on the server).
  2. Save a copy of the database.
  3. Save the server access logs for the time of the hack (they may be available in the 'logs' directory on the server, in your host's control panel or only by request directly from your host).
  4. File a report in the incident tracker. Attach the items from steps 1-3 when you file the report or upload them to a secure location for the incident investigation team to download. Please do not start a new topic on the board, the proper place for incidents reports is the tracker.
If you have further questions, please ask them on your ticket. Thanks.
