Database Back Up

Post by maddmikemen »

Ok so I installed a fresh copy of PHPBB3 in another directory. I have access to my old database, I know how to back it up and insert it in the new forum but in my old database i have a bunch of MODS installed ,etc
So since i want to transfer my data to a new forum i was wondering which tables do i transfer?

i want to keep everything besides mods

so which ones do i have to back up?
i want to keep ranks, posts, topics, etc except for all the mods intalls

do them all. if you do not have the MODs installed to the phpbb files, the database will not know or care if there are some remnants hanging out in it.

you can't separate the tables, they are all interconnected in one way or another.

I've used the support toolkit form this site to clear my database of all things which did not come with the original phpbb package. MODS in particular. It's worth it look as it's user friendly!
